Friends Til the End?
by Tre Alee on May.25, 2010, under My thoughts
I have a serious weakness for friendships. People who are close to my heart, tend to have a grip on my emotions that causes me to want to do whatever I can for them. Granted I have an extremely busy and hectic schedule, but it has never been too busy for those I call friend, especially those in the “best friend” category. Trust me, not many in that category.
Today I’m faced with sadness in heart that not every friend will remain in my life for always. It’s hard to imagine that differences of opinions or disagreements would cause up close and personal to now be, distant and silent. I too realize that some things are just too difficult for me to deal with and believe me, I wish they weren’t. I also understand that love doesn’t have to change, but the interactions have to in order for me and the “friends” I have lost to remain happy.
Pruning season is far from easy, but it can be very necessary. I’m just so grateful that healing eventually does take place in the heart, the mind and the soul.
For those friends I have lost, I love you still. Some things aren’t meant to last forever. That is truly a hard lesson to swallow especially when it comes to those you love, but now at this stage in my life…I finally get it!

Thanks for sharing your heart Tre’…you are indeed a beautiful spirit and I miss you! Though our paths have split off at this point, I’m hopeful that God’s plan is for us to complete the journey…ending at the same destination–heaven!
I wish you all the best and will continue to support all that is positive in your life. I love you!

Thank You Tre’, those words are true, sentimental, but yet to the point. I too had to do a similiar thing as you. But I left an option open to what I could work with, but they could not. But sometimes this same sentiment goes to distant families as well, even when you try so hard in your busy life, not to take it there. And, it saddens us in the end, and yes, bitter to swallow, but as you say, it comes a time in your life for pruning, and anytime you are cut in a way, it will hurt. That’s what pruning does, it cuts. Only if people can understand your position, and even if they take a gander into their lives, they may also have seen, that they had to do that very same thing called “pruning”. There are some that are so needy in you hearing them out, until they don’t realize that your virtue is simply zapped, some just do not care, just as long as they feel better and you are carrying the burden. Take it from a friend who knows. I wish you so much success in your Life. Smile and Do good!
May God Bless You!

I enjoy your comments and I hear your growth. You know u are growing when you keep your mind open to new and different thoughts of communicating, when situations happen to you, that test what you are trying to create within you, these come about to see if what has been planted in you has been watered and now will it sprout forth. sometimes u see little growth, sometimes u see a little growrth, then it gets to where you go into a relaspe of all you are trying to learn , Growth is when you come to accept life’s struggles, always realizing these are building blocks, they are uphill sometimes but what goes up must come down. Some friends are only for a while accept that to. We are all here to teach each other something whether good or bad. Thank you tracey for sharing your thoughts.
