Tre Alee the Songstress

DSC_0425Tre Alee, birth name Traci A. Seemore, was born in Fort Rucker, Alabama in January 1971 to Pastor Henry W. and Mary A. Seemore. Presently she works full time for the Department of the Navy as a Records Manager in Charlestown, Massachusetts where she has been employed for nineteen years. Even though having a job in this economic hardship is a blessing that she is truly grateful for, Tre is confident that there is a greater purpose for her existence. God’s plan of how things will come to pass in her life has not always been revealed, but she knows that whatever direction, it will lead her down the path of music and writings. Indeed the rewarding journey has already begun.

Since the age of six, Tre Alee has been singing in the church. Singing was never her aspiration as a child, but now it is her greatest passion. At thirteen Tre Alee’s vocal and music writing abilities drastically changed. She not only shocked her mother, who is now her biggest fan, but many others who heard her music. To date she has written, produced and recorded an independent gospel CD entitled “I’m Free” and has written and recorded other genres of music such as jazz and R&B.

In efforts to spread her love of music, she took on a position at the local Roxbury Boys and Girls Club in 1997 through 2000, to teach and form the Lift Every Voice Choir for the inner city youth. It was the first gospel choir ever formed at the club, which resulted in a CD release in 2000 entitled “Looking Up To You”. Tre was the writer and producer for the project. As a result of her success at the boys and girls club, she was asked to teach music and form a choir at the Lewenberg Middle School in Mattapan, Massachusetts. She accepted and was instrumental in the music department at the school for a little over two years.

As a soloist  she has performed at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY, the Fleet Center now the TD Banknorth Garden, the Bayard Rustin Breakfast, as well as singing overseas in Germany, Jamaica, France and many other places here in the United States. In her earlier years she performed with gospel recording artists Yolanda Adams, Lisa Page-Brooks of gospel group, Witness. She also believes strongly in spreading her gift of music to women in recovery and AIDS/HIV awareness functions, in addition to weddings and graduations which she enjoys. Presently Tre is a member of Freda Battle and The Temple Worshippers, a phenomenal local gospel recording group.

Tre Alee the Author

Tre Alee never envisioned that her love of writing would venture into the arena of writing novels, short stories and poetry. For many years she took a liking to writing poetry, but never put much thought into going further with her talent. Due to a broken heart, she used her negative feelings towards the break up to be a positive experience by writing her first fiction novel, Coming to Grips (Lifestyle and Deception). Not being an avid reader, Tre Alee was concerned with trying her hand at writing novels since her love for reading was never present. She realizes that God always has a way of bringing to pass His plan for us to use our gifts even when we don’t recognize that we have them. From that moment her motivation has carried her to writing her second fiction novel, The First Blow (her first published novel) that was released in May 2006 by IUniverse.com with worldwide distribution from all major booksellers via the internet.

Since the release of The First Blow, Tre has received tremendous accolades from her readers and supporters. She has attended book signings locally and out of state as well as attending book clubs who have read her work. There is high demand for a sequel to The First Blow, which is in the works. To date, as of July 2009, Tre released her second and third published novels through IUniverse.com, Straight with Options and And So Shall You Reap, two novels in one book form. Additionally, she combined her vocal and music writing by including two music singles as part of the package, Sweet Sexation performed by Tre Alee and written by N’Dee Ellis and Change written by Tre Alee and performed by Amandi. Tre takes great pride in her work and humbly has received compliments from readers calling her a female E. Lynn Harris. She takes that compliment to heart especially since he was her favorite author and due to his recent passing. Tre continuously writes and has approximately seven novels in completion or partially done. There’s no stopping her! Each of her novels can be purchased on Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com, IUniverse.com, to name a few and her music behind the novels can be downloaded at Digstation.com.

At the age of thirty-eight most would think that it’s too late for Tre Alee to achieve and reach her dreams of music and writings, but she sees her future differently. “My time has finally come to walk in the promises of God. All of these years I have been in preparation for the many blessings that He can now give me. In my learning I needed to prove to God that He could trust me with what He was always ready to give me, but I wasn’t ready to receive. When God gives you a mission and a purpose you must be ready for it and it’s never too late to reach your destiny. I was born to do this. I’m destined to make it because God said that it’s time.”
