I’m ready to explode with excitement because on tomorrow I will be able to share the video for my song, Your Smile, with all of you.

On this past Saturday, along with my team, I had the greatest pleasure of working with my good friend Rodney Elliot to make the video and song come to life. We had the best time shooting each scene and we laughed ourselves to being tired…well at least I was exhausted afterwards LOL. I’m just so grateful that we were able to make it happen and the weather was perfect!

At first I was going to say more than I need to about the video, but from the love that I received from Sweet Sexation and Angel, I’m more than confident that you will love Your Smile just as much.

Okay, I gotta go because the new novel is calling my attention…oh yeah, I was supposed to tell ya’ll more about that right? Well I can’t right now…definitely next time!

There is a little buzz of excitement for my team and me, as of Tuesday, October 13^th, the video for Sweet Sexation will be released for your viewing pleasure. Sweet Sexation is also the single for my novel Straight with Options, released July 2009. You will be able to view the video on my personal site trealee.com as well as other sites such as MySpace, YouTube, Facebook and the list goes on and on.

I have to applaud my team for doing an outstanding job at making this video possible. If I say so myself it’s engaging, sensual, and sexy with a little controversy thrown in. It was important for me to depict Sweet Sexation in the way the song was meant to reflect Straight with Options. I am ecstatic that we captured all that we needed in order for viewers to enjoy it thoroughly.

The process leading up to, during and completing the video was a lot of work, but work well worth the outcome. Everyone from the models to the photographer to the director, were all enthusiastic even though we were all up early in the morning for about eight hours straight. For me, it’s a beautiful reality watching a vision come to life. I’m proud that the vision we all had will be seen by so many on tomorrow.

This past weekend was busy yet very eventful. I had a video photo shoot for the song Sweet Sexation, which is also the single for one of my current novels, Straight with Options.

 Initially when my publicist presented the idea to do the video I was a little nervous, but I don’t think I shared my reservations with him at that time. If you listen to the song, I’m basically singing about leaving my current relationship for another, if my spouse doesn’t get his act together. My nervousness didn’t come from having to depict the song in picture form, it was knowing the type of pictures I had to take in order to sell the song. Needless to say, I think the pictures we took and the video are going to really sell the song even more, thus controversy may fly once the video is seen.

 For those of you who haven’t read Straight with Options, the book deals with a loving relationship between a woman and a man, but then later a romantic relationship between two women is introduced. As I stated in one of my previous blogs, Straight with Options’ focus has little to do with a same sex relationship, it’s primarily about friendship, acceptance and love. However, Sweet Sexation is the representation of the novel so I had to represent the song through the pictures as well. For some who see the video, they will understand the entire concept of the song and the book, but to others it may be a little controversial.

 Please understand that I am an artist and I’m not promoting anything other than my books and music. By no means am I making any apologies for what I do, I just care enough about those who listen to and see my work to give a brief explanation. Some may say that I shouldn’t have to explain, but that’s just my way.

 Keep a look out over the next couple of weeks for the picture video of Sweet Sexation. Trust me I think you’ll like the song even more, I know I do.

The other day a question was asked of me by a good friend and I want to share it. She simply asked, what actions do I think are considered cheating? I was taken aback because I believe that a lot of different actions can be considered cheating when in relationships, but everyone views them differently. Meaning, I may consider flirting as just a friendly action that doesn’t depict cheating, whereas someone else will say that flirting with someone other than your mate, friendly flirting or otherwise is without a doubt a form of cheating.

 So in light of tonight’s subject matter on Blog Talk Radio Live with NEKO CHERI and SUN, “Your Relationship Stimulus Package”, I ask the question, what is cheating to you? This may not necessarily have anything directly to do with the subject on tonight’s show, but my question encompasses issues in relationships also. Your responses are for my own personal interest.  Now, I feel that there are many forms of cheating, but as I said previously I view some actions differently than others. I think there are boundaries to everything and you know which ones should not be crossed. I also know that people cheat for various reasons. There are a number of people out there who stray from their relationships because they believe that it’s okay, that they won’t get caught or because it’s excitement of the challenge. But then there are those who cheat because they are truly lacking something meaningful, tangible and loving within their relationship. By no means am I saying that cheating is right, I have cheated and have been cheated on, but sometimes there are reasons that people do what they do.

 I’ve learned that when something is missing between the two people that made commitments to one another, whether it be marriage or otherwise, one or both are bound to stray. This is why I emphatically believe in verbal communication at all times. In addition I believe that intimacy, physical closeness, romance, flirtatiousness with your mate, compliments, date time, cuddle time, love making mentally and physically, supporting what the other one does whether it’s your area of enjoyment or not are just some of what a relationship needs to grow. Basically, whatever you did to get the one you’re with, it shouldn’t stop just because you “have them” now. If you got your hair done before you got married, don’t stop looking beautiful once you said “I do” (and that’s not just for married folks lol). If you rubbed his back and kissed him passionately when he went on a business trip in the beginning during the honeymoon stage of your relationship, keep sending him away on trips happy even after years have passed!

 As my song Sweet Sexation says, “I’m not an expert on love, but I know what I’ve been needing from you.” Every single one of us knows what we need from a relationship and from a person to stimulate, sustain, nurture  and keep us happy, even through the disagreements. If by chance they aren’t doing it, THEN TELL THEM! Let cheating be your last resort. I firmly believe that no matter how long you have been with someone that the honeymoon doesn’t have to stop after some months have passed. My parents have been together for fifty-three years, married for forty-eight and they still kiss, kind of gross LOL and they also still go on dates. So figure out your stimulus package and make it work. I believe in falling in love everyday with the one you’re with. Now if the love is gone and the boat can’t be fixed, well then that’s a show for Oprah. Tune in, I’m sure she will have something like that on her show again soon LOL.  

 So again I ask, what is cheating to you?
